"...I first started in the Group program where there were about 10 other Little Brothers and 2 Big Brothers.  Then I was very fortunate to be matched with an amazing Big Brother whose name is Mark.  "Big" Mark, as I call him, and I have found that we have many common interests.  Mark has a wonderful personality.  We can always talk.  He always listens and I trust his judgement.  It's fun spending time with Mark.  Having a Big Brother allows me to talk about guy things..."

"Since my involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters, I have received much joy and satisfaction from my relationship with my Little Sister as well as from my work with the Board of Directors.  Because I am able to see and participate in the benefits that the agency provides for children, I truly believe in the need for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization in our community."
Board member & former Big Sister, Jane

"I love being a Little Sister.  I meet new friends.  Lu helps me with my math.  Lu helps with everything, even reading.  I really love Lu, she's the best."
Little Sister, Rena

"We have been matched for over 2 years.  We have many common interests - animals, gardening, cooking, shopping, and reading.  We like to go to the theatre on special occasions.  We have fun all the time.  We teach each other things.  We help each other."
Big Sister, Lu

"Reza's father passed away while I was still expecting...when we moved to Guelph we had friends here, but they were too busy to really spend much time with Reza...within two years of being matched to (his Big Brother) Josh, I saw a change in Reza.  Josh had goals.  By knowing him, Reza learned it's good if he has goals.  Now, he knows what to look for in the future...he's more social now, not as shy.  He's out making friends.  He now knows how to make new friends...it was a great two years because it was a time when Reza was still growing up, and he needed a role model."
Parent, Mitra

"I was in the air force for over 30 years and community involvement was always encouraged.  My first Little Brother and I were matched when he was 7 years old and today he is 18 and about to graduate from high school.  He is planning on entering commerial aviation as a pilot.  I like to think that I had a small part to play in his decision.  I'm proud of him and pleased that we are friends."
Big Brother, David

"Having a Big Brother means a lot to me because I do cool things when I hang out with him.  We spend time together doing crafts and watching movies.  We also ski, snowboard, play mini golf, go to the driving range, and go fishing.
Little Brother, Brad
