IMG_0960_160pxAt Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph it is our collective mission to promote the healthy development of the children and youth of our community through a variety of quality mentoring programs. We are committed to the recruitment of volunteers dedicated to upholding the values and principles of the organization and to those we serve. In all endeavors, we will act with integrity and create an environment that encourages teamwork and respect.

We are seeking individuals with demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to the community, who are positive about the mission, insightful, proactive and can combine service and dedication to BBBSG; a
not for profit charitable organization. All Board positions are volunteer.

Responsibilities: Establish policies, governance and long range plans for
the operation, growth and development of the Association – Term: 2 yrs

  1. To understand, amend and adhere to agency By-laws.
  2. To maintain Board business and ensure fiscal stability and financial accountability.
  3. To successfully complete a Police Clearance and an annual Offence Declaration Statement and participate in a Child Safety Program.
  4. Attend and actively participate in Board and other meetings.
  5. Become a financial supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph and participate in or contribute to each of the agency’s three major fundraising events.
  6. To ensure legal and ethical integrity
  7. To participate in the succession planning and nomination process of the Board of Directors.
  8. Be informed about BBBSG’s programs, policies and services.
