 Bowl for Kids Sake 2010 raised over $80,000!

Bowl for Kids Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph’s (BBBSG) largest fundraising event of the year.  On March 26, 27, 28 & 31, 510 people bowled on over 100 teams raising over $81,000. All proceeds will help the agency achieve their vision that every child who needs a mentor has a mentor.

You can still help BBBSG reach their goal.  Everyone can make a donation to Bowl for Kids Sake and make a difference in the life of a child.  Donations can be made on line at www.guelph.kintera.org/bfks or by mailing them to the BBBSG office located at 2G-155 Suffolk St. W. Guelph, Ontario N1H 2J7.  Tax receipts are available for donations of $20.00 or more.

“The demand for our services grows every year,” says BBBSG Executive Director Liam McEnery.  “It is inspiring to see so many members of our community come out and raise pledges in support of the children we serve.  Thank you to everyone who has and who will take part.  Your support makes a big difference in the life of a child”.

BFKS is about having fun and raising money for children in need.  Studies show that children who grow up with a mentor develop increased confidence, make informed healthy lifestyle choices, and have a greater sense of belonging.  Funds raised will help match the over 50 children on the waiting list.  Children can wait as long as 3 years to be matched with a caring adult volunteer.
