Volunteer Appreciation Night - March 20, 2017

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization and we could not serve nor support more than 650 local children without the tireless and generous acts of our hundreds of agency volunteers.

Our volunteers cover a range of activities: community-based mentors, school-based mentors, committee members, board members, one-off event volunteers and high school students working towards their completion of their mandatory 40 hours of community service.

To all these people who support BBBSG throughout the year, we thank you.

On Monday, March 20th, many of these volunteers attended our appreciation night at the Bookshelf Cinema in downtown Guelph. A number of generous people from our community-based and school-based mentoring programs were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph, highlighted by our Volunteer of the Year, Cassandra Abate, and our recipient of the BBBSG Award of Excellence, Marissa Teeter. The names of all the winners and photos from this great evening are below. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph, consider applying today.
